About us
The foundation "Women and Youth in Action" (MUJAC) is a private, nonprofit legal entity established as a foundation under Article 67 et seq. of the Bolivian Civil Code, with legal personality granted by Departmental Decree No. 0123 of the Autonomous Departmental Government of Cochabamba.
All of our income, and any surplus from our activities, goes exclusively to our social purpose, with no distribution, direct or indirect, among our members.
We have worked since 2022 for women, single mothers and young people in situations of social vulnerability in the department of Cochabamba. Through certified alternative technical-productive education, we help them earn their own income on a sustained basis, strengthening their decision-making power at home and in their community.
What we mean by "social vulnerability"
We use the term in a precise and verifiable sense, referring to three specific situations:
- Women heads of household and single mothers with no income of their own.
- Young women aged 18 to 35 who, because of social and economic factors, did not access higher education and therefore face greater barriers to formal employment.
- Women with early-stage businesses who need technical and digital support to consolidate them.
